jack why the royal marines hon??? confused.gif

Because I'm a loon. Nearly everyone I've met out of the Royal Marines has a similar attitude to me and I like the look of the job.

I like chinese food but doesnt mean I wanna be a fooking sweet & sour chicken ball!!!!

Ok then... I liked the Job description.

"Travel the world, meet new people and shoot them". A thing my Dad says frequently, because it amuses him. laugh.gif

I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!!

I posted awhile ago about the lad I know who got shot in Iraq, well he's home now, still with a bullet in his head (they removed one) and scaring from ear to ear.

His view on it, is that, you take the good with the bad and "why do you all think I joined" "I'm one of the lucky ones"

I think capn_jack has the same strong attitude thumbs.gif

Tidyturd, I think that, given that my b/f did for 8 years, it's hardly fair to say he wasn't a strong enough character? Maybe that's not what you meant but the protective g/f in me has to speak up laugh.gif

I'm thinking more along the lines of, he's a type that finds it very hard to accept orders and live in an institutionalised environment.

Anyway!

Cpt Jack, as I said before, good luck and I hope it's a great experience for you thumbs.gif

I like the idea of living in enclosed spaces with other men.

Didn't mean that for one minute, I was just pointing out that anyone IMO who joins surely is of that frame of mind, then again I also know someone who joined (not the marines)purely for the band shrug.gif
