Have just got a copy of Cubase VST Version 2 - is this any good & am i gonna be able to make tunes on it ok?

i hope so as the 'professionals' have been using it 4 years and i h8 it when they get sumthin wrong

 

 

maybe a little complex unless u have a teacher or lots and lots of free time

You'll also need somethin like soundforge or cool edit pro if you wana get into makin tunes properly for mastering etc!!

 

(im still to learn but i do know this haha)

Its for Doug but i know the latest version is 5 or something so i dont wanna give him version 2 & it be dead crap or something! lol

The latest version is SX, ill try and find some articles on it for you with the differences hun!!

vst is the 2nd most recent i think - sum1 confirm this 4 me plz

if your gonna use cubase... the minimum version i would recommend is 3.7 (and that is VERY dated now)

Once you have a regsitered version though can you not download the updates?

Im not too sure hun.... i know fruity do this and maybe reason (? not sure) but im thinkin cubase dont.... u could always email them and find out?!

it costs money...

 

cubase sx (the newest) is a complete re-write of the program...

 

i dont think they even suport the old one anymore

Steinberg give minor Cubase updates for free. But expect to pay if you want to upgrade from, say, Cubase VST to Cubase SX.

 

I strongly recommend SX over previous version of Cubase. It is far less buggy in my experience.
