well said blink. after losing my fiance, in a motorbike accident last year, i know what ppl r going thro too, after such a tragedy. ppl wouldnt say such callous things if they had been thro it, ive always thought i could come on here and talk too almost anybody, about almost anything, but now im in two minds whether i could or not. how sad some ppl are

I think you will find that there are people on this site who do know the people involved, if you had actually bothered checking before mouthing off

Well it shuda bin them postin about it then!

the key issur here is ppl posting thier condolences, but some ppl dont like too see that. so why dont those ppl not post on this particular thread, n let ppl who want too get on with it. instead off winding ppl up, wwho have experienced this type off thing. surely on such a serious issue, u could take your callousness else where.

so what your effectively saying is - if you have an opinion that differs from the majority (flock of sheep) then dont express it? well sorry but thats not gonna happen im afraid, agree with me or not im still allowed an opinion

Thankyou, Claire! I have read it, and as dodgy as it may sound, I know how most of you feel, as I said, before, I lost a very good friend in a tragic accident 4 years ago!

 

Though I do not know him, my love is there with him!

 

One thing I didn't have then was the love and support you guys get / have got off here! It makes you feel proud, and part of something, whether or not you know them personally - because everyone is 'joined' together like a 'family' in a way!

Yes m'dear you are - and all the more respect I personally give you for it! Though it may have sounded harsh /callous to some people - I totally understand where you're coming from!

 

I do not know Neon personally - but people that I know know him - therefore that makes me feel for them!

Though I barely knew the girls, my friend did - very well - and I sorta greive for them - but my thoughts are with their families.

 

And yes, you ALWAYS feel more towards people you do know than people you don't! And people that you don't know - ofcourse you're not going to 'grieve' for them!

 

But tragedies like this - and that of any other indescirable 'happening' - be it murder, abduction - you name it - no matter how big / small, soft / hard you're heart is, the question will always be there - why?!

 

Why did it happen to such young children?

Why did it have to happen to innocent people?

Why does it always take ONE person to go against what is the 'norm' and do stupid things that will end up in families or even a Nation of grief?!

 

That's society, and society looks at / comments about things in different ways - and most of those that do stand up to their beliefs DO get ridiculed! But there are times as and when to stand up to what you believe!!

Jon, no-one is disputing your right to express your opinion.

 

I just felt it was in bad taste to hi-jack someone else's thread, when it is over such a delicate subject, especially when people on this site could have known these people.

 

If you had posted a seperate thread about fake sympathy, I would no doubt have agreed with you.

 

Basically what has happened, is that people hi-jacked this thread, saying that the people weren't being sincere, without knowing whether they were or not, and then they get upset when people have a go at the for expressing their opinions.

 

You cannot criticise someone for expressing their opinion, and then complain when people have a go at you for expressing yours.

 

My fundamental complaint tho, was that it was in completely bad taste to criticise someone expressing an opinion about such a serious topic.

yip totally agree with u jon, u have got ur own opinion. so have ppl who wanna post thier condolences over this tragedy. so its not nice when ppl rip into them about it. thats my opinion too.
