I am 31, have been clubbing since I was 18, and at my height was going out 4 nights a week. (even 2 years ago it 2-3 nights a week). Now (partly due to location) it is once every 2-3 weeks, but if I ain't been out in 2 weeks, I get stir crazy and irritable.

If you have grown out of clubbing, you were never into clubbing eviltongue.gif

[PS, where have all the fun tonuge out smilies gone?]

moderation is the key. It's great at first, but you need to level it out. I go maybe once or twice a month now, unless there some big event that i want to go to, but i find that i mainly go now cus my mates are there and good music.

on all fronts i've calmed down quite a lot.

I would agree with this line.

I did actually attack Sophie on a very early post (a year ago) on this board saying "well, you're not a proper clubber anyway" - but lets not dig that one up ! lmao

ok, lets!! LMAO ... evil_laugh

I love doing things the wrong way round!

Who says 'their way' is the right way anyway ??? For some reason I go out of my way to do things the 'other way' - hence I hate football lol

the thing is though for someone whos only 20 ive been through alot in my youth!

i think ive been through alot more then other people my age and learnt about certain things quicker like how to deal with money etc....

agree with averything else u said. dont agree with the above, im not taking away from whatevers happened to u but alot of people have to endure loads of [censored] in their life

At the end of the day, do what feels right to you - if it fooks up, you'll learn by your mistake - after all life's only what you make it, and hardly ever perfect!

Personally, I dont wanna settle down till I'm at least 28, been there, been happy, had all the [censored], decided to take a break for a while, I've had a lot of [censored] to deal with the past 2 years (which some of you know about)

As weird as this may sound - here goes

I lost my father tragically at the hands of the NHS (which is going to court) 3 yrs ago, since then I've had plenty of on/off relationships which haven't worked out, not because I'm insecure, but I always feel that I have something to explain to them, which I know I shouldn't and probably dont have to, I cant help it.

Until I have my head sorted, and all this court [censored] is over I'd prefer to be single, that way I dont have to give any explanations, and dont drag anyone down with me

its really bazzare but just recently whe anyone talks to me about clubbing or am i going somewhere i get totally bored of it! i dont find any events now to be as good as they used to be when i was younger!

when i first started going out it would be me tara and a few others and i found that really fun and exciteing! now i go out once every two months if that because firstly i am always skint and secondly i have more important things to be doing!

also i feel like ive "done eveything" in a clubbing sence! ive been ibiza, ive been to most of the festivals ie. gatecrasher etc... most of the member meets and i feel like i dont need to do it any more cos ive done it all before!

am i the only person that feels like this?!

Sophie i don't see what the problem is? If you don't want to go clubbing anymore then don't.

If you feel its time to move on, then just do it. You want something else/better from your life then go and get it nobody's stopping you.

i can see where you are comin from, i mean i can go for 4 months without clubbin and not have withdrawls from it (well not many lol) tho its not because i dont wana, its down to the fact i have a flat to run and other things that i have had to do and sort out recently, this also happened last year, but i do find that it makes me enjoy the clubbin when i do finally go out, more enjoyable and i look forward to it so much more, but i still think if i went out every week i would enjoy it as much as i did the week before. I also think it could be when u go to the same place week in and week out that it loses its touch i think.

its also a lot easier to take going to good clubs for granted when theyre sat on your doorstep.. going out becomes any old night out rather than an 'event'
