Why do you want a hardware sequencer?

To sequence my hardware

Is it just that you don't like laptops, or is there another more specific reason why you have to go the hardware route?

 

I'm not going to be a prick and say "get a software sequencer" when you've specifically said you want a hardware one. But if you can explain exactly why you don't want a software sequencer, then I guess we can answer your question more specifically.

E.g. if you said, "I don't want a laptop because I want something rackmountable", then we would know at least one of your requirements.

I would reccomend something along the lines of a Roland W30. 16track sequencer midi keyboard.

 

Sequencer and controller keyboard all in one

 

Ive seen them go on ebay for about £100-£150

Thats one of the reasons, im looking to maybe oneday do PA's and ive seen many times b4 people come unstuck when the laptop/pc they have running everything crashes and that just spoils the whole thing..
