Is it just that you don't like laptops, or is there another more specific reason why you have to go the hardware route?

I'm not going to be a prick and say "get a software sequencer" when you've specifically said you want a hardware one. But if you can explain exactly why you don't want a software sequencer, then I guess we can answer your question more specifically. smile.gif

E.g. if you said, "I don't want a laptop because I want something rackmountable", then we would know at least one of your requirements.

I would reccomend something along the lines of a Roland W30. 16track sequencer midi keyboard.

Sequencer and controller keyboard all in one

Ive seen them go on ebay for about £100-£150

Thats one of the reasons, im looking to maybe oneday do PA's and ive seen many times b4 people come unstuck when the laptop/pc they have running everything crashes and that just spoils the whole thing..
