ps. what you have to all remember is that most people will make up their own minds about people regardless of what is put up on a message board about them. So therefore most wont actually take any notice of what you are slating someone for - in fact they are likely to just put a mark against both your name and the person you are slating and keep an eye on both of you - this isnt really what you want.

 

I'm all for warning people about a member if they pose a threat / risk but some names have been mentioned about 1,000 times over the last year and everyone is well aware of what this said person has done and i'm sure there are plenty of PMs and MSN conversations about it too.

 

If you must keep naming and shaming the same person about the same incident then at least keep it out of the serious issues forums

I used to think we shouldnt have any slagging matches and everyone should be a happy family. I got this very wrong ! So yes, Random Bollox IS the place for it... BUT... there are exceptions to the 'naming & shaming' type posts. If they start to turn nasty they should be Moderated properly !

 

God knows what the rules are for random bollox - i've not even thought about it - apart from the obvious like racism etc...

 

Its a tough one because some situtation really do call for naming & shaming, whilst others clearly dont. We have to be careful we dont allow a free-for-all for the people who are purely here on earth to cause grief and upset people.
