There are plenty of very talented trance producers out there, (SHOKK, flutlicht, uberdruck, 3 drives, Matt Silver etc etc)

but they are being over shadowed by the reams and reams of commercial pap being released at the same time. Its because of this that unfortunately trance will never come back as big as it was

i like trance and allsorts of dance [censored], but 'clubbin2 doesnt just apply to the dance industry ok? lots of us appreciate lots of other music...cummon! gets sum culture down ur throat.

I know we shouldn´t be too nostalgic all the time, but it simply seems like where there used to be a really cool set of ideas and emotions behind trance back then, there´s too much over energetic hard house and trance, to be honest so much of it is just terrible, not just the ´sound´, but the musicians behind them seem to have even less talent than those behind the 98 99 00 days, and even then they could have done better, so instead of hearing that sort of stuff now, all we get is some hardcore insanity.

you´re absolutely right, there´s just a part of me who wished he was there when it seemed so...big.

 

I listen to a great variety of music, including classical music of course and anything else that comes along, I just grew up liking trance a lot, is all, I even took the time to listen to some of modulars stuff, not my thing exactly, but good enough to make me listen to more than one track.

 

variety? absolutely

 

hard, over the top trance or house - for some maybe, but for me its just sad.... these days the best new stuff is prog trance/house or tech house or something similar and not so unrefined.

 

meh, each to their own of course, just my opinion!
