doesn't the equip your using depend on what style of music you're making? At the moment i'm happy with Logic because as i'm finding out, it just fuckin kicks arse!! I know that at the moment the only peice of hardward i would want in the future when i get better with logic is a hardware compressor.

why? seems odd to buy any hardware if your writing tunes completely in software

Hardware is the only way for me, software compressors dont compare to hardware. The end product sounds so different to me.

 

My whole studio setup is hardware, am learning to use software now but sure if i will ever convert.

 

Will try and get some pics up seeing as all you flash cunts were pretty quick to show us yours.

aye this is what i was told by sam, that the software compressor doesn't compare to the hardware.

They will, though, in the future. Software is the way forward!

I was thinking about this, whilst in the pub at lunch time, and I think there is something to be said, when peforming live, about having a hardware synth wih all your sounds on a preset in front of you, so you just press a button to get the next sound for the next song.

 

There is something a lot more reassuring about having it hard-wired in front of you
