This is a general comment and nothing to do with any idividual on here but :

The facts are that when blokes go to strip clubs they get arroused by looking at the lovely ladies and want to shag them. They wish their girlfriends looked like a lap dancer (if they don't). But, the truth is, most blokes don't have much chance women that attractive so they'll make do with their average looking/over weight girlfriends until something better comes along.

That was bollox - in the adverts for the clubs, the girls are gorge, but in reality some of them are ruff as.

They have good bodies, granted, but half the time that's only down to a good surgeon.

I know my bloke wouldn't seriously be interested in one of them when he's got me - so why should I worry?

Excellent reply there, Aleksandra, thankyou for that. thumbs.gif

Claire, it's not about cheating, it's more to do with my feelings about Alex looking at other women and fancying them and getting aroused by them dancing around him naked.

Cherry I think I know where you are coming from hon!!

We all know that no matter what we will always look & see attractive people, of the opposite sex, its human nature, no matter how much we love our partners!!

But the thought of our partner actually making a point of going to see people that they may possibly fancy, is in a way hurtful, if you let it be!!

you never know cherry he may go & find it totally distasteful!!

I myself wouldnt mind, but I would be curious as to whether they got aroused etc!!

I have seen the chippendales on a few occasions & yes there are some great looking guys with fab bods, but at the end of the day, it is a giggle with the girlies, the same as im sure it is a laugh with the fellas!!

i think it takes time to learn the difference between thinking about something and actually doing it. it's my opinion that we should deal with people's actions.

i suppose it's easy to understand how somebody would be upset at their boyfriend going to a strip club because we're all human and we're all insecure.

he's not [censored] the strippers - he probably is thinking about [censored] them - but then everybody in the whole place is. it's entirely human...

if he is thinking about [censored] them, it's not because you fall short or he's unhappy - it's because that's what men and women do. it's called a 'fantasy' for a reason - because it doesn't actually happen smile.gif

without wishing to sound inflammatory, have you never looked at another guy and thought something smutty? never wondered what that guy on the bus looks like out of his jeans? never? ever?

some people have said that the source of these concerns is not how you feel about him but how you feel about yourself. i would tend to agree.

unless somebody gives you cause to be worried (by actually doing something), why put yourself through the wringer worrying about what they might do?

a big part of loving somebody is trusting them. you need to learn to trust them and, perhaps more importantly, you need to learn to trust yourself.

Alasdair,

Cherry has just explained that it's not about cheating anyway. Sorry!

As for being concerned with people's actions and not thoughts, I tend to agree on the surface - otherwise we get into the whole "thought police" thing which is scary.

But just to play devil's advocate: if 5 years from now you found out that your girlfriend spent months fantasising about having sex with your best mate, would you simply congratulate her on not having acted on it, or would you feel hurt at all? I am not presuming your answer here - if you can honestly say that you would only see that as a positive because her actions were true to your relationship, regardless of her thoughts - then you're a very big man and have my full admiration!

Mate, your wind-up isn't even funny. Cherry has asked something seriously and your obnoxius joke is hardly helping (unless you seriously claim to be able to speak on behalf of your ENTIRE sex) bye.gif
