Aren't they the same word with different meanings (and pronounceations) depending on context? I could be wrong though...

 

English is a fooked up language - it's because it's made up of a combination of so many other languages....

i dunno they look the same but they aint and it confuses me sometimes

What about words that sound the same but are spelt differently like...

 

THEIR, THERE and THEY'RE,

WHERE and WEAR,

HERE and HEAR,

YOUR and YOU'RE,

ATE and EIGHT.

So many more but cant be arsed to list the lot.

 

I'm not surprised so many people have difficulty using grammar correctly.
