I must admit i'm "guilty" of this.

 

I saw it as more polite and personal once I've met someone to call them by their real name in posts, or occassionally put both names - e.g. Mod1/Ian.

 

I really didnt think this would be taken negatively !

    Just call them what you are both comfortable callin them.... ie if they dont mind u usin first REAL name then why not use it?! I do!! smile.gif

    yeah but i can now see how it would annoy people if you constantly called them by their first name and not their nickname ... and vice-versa.

     

    having said that whenever i greet new members i always call them by their board name (as at that moment in time I dont know their real name, although their friends might) and everyone rips the piss out of me so I cant win ! shrug.gifdisappointed.gif

     

    not gonna lose 'too' much sleepy.gif over it !
