Erm, but Blink that wasn't the point you were trying to make in your original post. You suggested people use realmames to :

 

show off how popular and "in" they are, cos they know someone's real name.

 

which, quite frankly, is a load of old pants

Eh? everyone on this board knows CreamyC as CreamyC, cos that is his username. If you don't know who CreamyC is, then you can use the search function to find CreamyC, so using CreamyC isn't excluding anyone!

No, I was querying why people used real names, and that was the only reason I could think of.
