I am giving serious consideration to starting a campaign to get that bastion of Sunday afternoon TV, Jim Bowen's Bullseye, back on our screens.....

 

How could a gameshow based on the manly sport of darts, with questions along the lines of:

 

"Spell the word potatoes"

 

be shelved?

 

And why was it that whenever they went for the jackpot prize and won, it was always a shitty touring caravan, but if they lost, it was always a fortnight in Benidom or a speedboat??

 

Remember,"Stay out of the black and in the red. You get nothing in this game for 2 in a bed"

That makes it even better then.....I used to hate late afternoon/early evening tv on Sundays as it meant you had school the next day...

 

Bloody Mastermind starting at 9 on BBC1 was a sure sign Monday morning was on the way....
