AudioRealsim Bassline is one of the best...it's an emulation of the Roland TB-303.

reFX TBL is another good one.

Fruity's TS404 is also quality

cheers guys, that's great.

think soo i might need a little advice on how to set up these vsti's and get them running. if you don't mind that is.

so far i've just been putting loads of loops and samples together that i've cut from tunes etc, some of it sounds ok, but thik it would make the world of difference when i can start adding effects to the samples

Tony :

first install the VST either into the Program Files -> Steinberg ->Vstinstruments folder or if ur using Fruity it can be Program Files ->FLStudio -> Plugins - > VST

To add VST's in Fruity :

goto Channels menu -> Add one -> then select from the menu...if it's not there, click on more and then on the box that comes up, click Refresh -> Fast Scan

you'll see the newly installed VST should appear in red on the list..check the box next to it.

now your VST should be listed there. Just select it, and it'll open in the step sequencer.

If your using Cubase Press F11, then the VST window will popup..just select the VST u want from that.

Then right click in the main sequencer window and select Add MIDI channel.

Now click on the midi channel and at the left where its properties are click on "Output" and select the VST.

thats fantastic pierre, many thanks, i'll get cracking with that now.

if i install the vsti's into (Program Files ->FLStudio -> Plugins - > VST), or (Files -> Steinberg ->Vstinstruments) ,will i then need to install them again if i want to use them in other sequencers (cubase/logic etc), or will other programs be able to read them from here.

thanks for all your help, don't think i would have ever figured that out grin.gif
