I was listening to Radio Five earlier, and they said "news reports are coming in of a bomb attack on George Bush's plane" Nothing more was said for about 10 minutes, and then they said "Some of you may have noticed that I haven't mentioned any more about a news story, and I am not allowed to say anything"

 

There is no report of anything on the BBC website. Did anyone else hear anything like this?

    This is weird, News At Ten had a major report then it went dead and no more was heard.

    AFAIK, the news story was about someone that tried to sell a surface to air missile to someone in America. Is there something more to it, or is that the entire story?

    So why could they not say "We are retracting that, and that it was an attempted plot"

     

    That is why I didn't read that report, cos the "Briton arrested smuggling anti-aircraft missile" Is miles away from "Attack on Bush's plane"
