i av just got back from ibiza did n e 1 go .... cream at amnesia was absolutly rammed 2 the max couldnt move they had 9000 ppl in there and it only holds 6000 potentialy the biggest night of the season but it was too much !!!!!

Did indeed hun...posted in random bollocks on Wednesday and am waiting to put pictures up. What a blinding weekend!!

Was at Amnesia for the Cream/Radio 1 night, it was rammed especially trying to get in the main room, but once in there it was easy to find space near the front. I thought Oakenfold was gash, Tiesto was good and reprised much of his GKGG set and PVD was banging but his set went on for too long.

 

Was my first time at Amnesia and I was well impressed, even though the ice cannon did blow my shades off my face and into the crowd.

 

Went to the Radio One party on Friday and Saturday as it was 30 secs from our apartment, thought it was very well organised and highlights were Erick Morillo and Jon Carter's sets. Best hands in the air moment was when everyone went ballistic to that 7th Nation Army remix. Was gutted that I couldn't see Luke Neville on Sunday though, cos we were flying back then.

Radio one party - are these frequent in the summer in Ibiza ? Or is it liek an opening party ?

 

Iv bene listening to the R1 parties for about 3 years on the radio - woud love to go to one

Alas, I don't think there are any more Radio One parties planned for Ibiza this summer... but as the saying goes who needs Ibiza when you can have the Cross? Hope to see you and James at Serious tomorrow night...

 

 

did n e 1 go to the windmill to see fergi or eddie both were absolutly bangin ... eddie' set was quality he took it really like bangin and funky and there was a nice crowd and as for radio 1 weekends i think it is just the main 2 weeks of the summer... but i am thinkin bout goin back 4 the closin partys if not i am deffiniatly doin the season nxt yr ibiza is deffiniatly the paradise island

Err, I failed to turn up to the Friday Radio 1 thing as I was unconcious on a beach drunk following the biggest come down (okay Sparky, I admit it!) from the night before. Made it with Sparky and our friend James (not the CTW one) on the Saturday where the atmostphere and music was top.

 

Radio 1 stage was also conveniently close to our hotel which made it all the more easy to, er, re-charge

 

Ibeeffaa is so bloddy expensive though.....jesus. I knew it would be pants pulled down time there but €8 for a bottle of water in some clubs.....that is just rude, especially when you consider it is 74p per €uro at the moment.

 

Great time overall though, but I now rate Oakey even lower than Jules (at least Jules plays a lot of good tunes even if he can't mix them). Best DJ of the week, the more I think about it, though for me was Shan - a great combo of bouncy hard house type shananigans ('scure the pun) with good dancey trance. My other DJ of choice for the week we were there was Dave Pearce - first time I'd heard him DJ and I was really impressed with the set, its danceableness and the people around (didn't like the foam party bit afterwards as all I could taste for the next 24 hours was soap).

Radio 1 does apparently only a weekend in Ibiza every year.

 

Unfortunately I couldn´t make it to this year´s, were in Croatia on vacation during that time (was ace, too )
