Right, I am really pissed off, just worked out if I got the money back of people that owe me it comes to £355 !

I hate having to ask for money back, but even more when the certain people that owe you the money go out all the time and never think to pay you back, I could never do that it is soooooooo cheeky !

 

How do you ask in a nice but firm way for your money back ?

Fish - i sooo know how u feel - altho, I do try and avoid lending money out to people because I feel CHEEKY asking for it back :s

 

Anyway, it is YOUR money so you are entitled for it back - so ask for it!

Just ask politely but firmly. Don't do it in a jokey or matey way and make sure they know you're serious.

 

If that works then i'll expect a 10% cut

It is about 5 different people, some I know will pay me back no problem when I see them at the weekend so not too bothered about them, it others that take the piss and tell me they are skint and then they go out.

 

I think I am gonna have to get harsh, I hate it though, makes you feel guilty when you have done nothing wrong ! x

you just have to not lend, unless its a very very very close/trusted mate you've known for at least a year !

 

having said that i still lend and i still dont bother asking for it back - too scared too often ! :s

if i combined stuff thats been stolen + bad debts, i'd have about 2 grand

 

annoying thing is, when its something like £20 - not loads but y should u loose £20, and u don't wanna sound 'obvious' cos they're your "mate". it's always really easy to trust ppl, up to the point where they should pay u back
