I'm really chuffed, I've been shortlisted for an interview at Guy's and St Thomas' hospital as a staff nurse in the sexual health clinic.

 

I really want this job so wish me luck guys!

Well you have to be good at sex....obviously!

 

On a serious note though, it will involve assesing patients, screening for STDs (taking swabs 'down there' and through taking blood), administering treatment (such as freezing off genital warts with liquid nitrogen), following up patient progress, some couselling for patients taking the HIV test, provinding health education for users of the clinic, taking part in research in order to improve the service and treatments, and all that sort of stuff really!

Yea, but it will be really interesting the kind of clients you get in!

And warts are nothing compared to the ulcers you get on some wards - they really do whiff - rotting flesh absolutely reeks!
