Bought it this morning and right now it is burning a hole in my bag. Can't wait to listen to it. Wish I could play it at work

Eddie Halliwell is by far and away the best DJ at the moment - he doesn't play on his decks, he *plays* the decks like they a percussion / musical instrument. God

 

His tricks sound pretty decent on the cd but whenever I've seen him play live he's been awful. Spose it's not hard to produce on a cd when you sequence all the tracks on pc.

 

If you want to see a real HH master check out Sterling Moss or the most under rated HH dj ever Steve Thomas.

Oh man - I've seen Eddie play quite a few times now...the first one (and the one that really blew me away) was at Gatecrasher / Heaven after Matt Hardwick and Oakey (in about April/May time I think). Man that was awesome.

 

The next time was at Turnmills and I have a sneaky feeling that was a bit shite (couldn't quite tell who was DJing at the time because I was bollocksed).

 

Then we saw him at Eden, Ibiza a couple of Sundays ago - that was awesome. Eddie was a complete showman then too - climbing over the DJ booth with arms in air....quality.

 

I'll ignore Radio 1 Ibiza on Saturday (the Friday I was unconcious so missed that too) because his Radio 1 set was more of a funky / lighter set so doesn't count

 

But last Saturday @ Serious - come on people - how good was Eddie then? He was by far and away the best DJ....anyone agree????

Bought Mixmag yesterday...listened to the CD and OH MY GOD!!! its fookin brilliant...not as good as the first one though...but I will probably change my opinion after a few more listens.

 

Its a shame the magazine itself is a pile of [censored] though.
