its the next step really, at the minute i'm not even trying to do something and think about getting it signed anywhere, would just be cool to have a few bits to play that will be pretty much unique to me.

Yeah best thing is to play around and get familiar with what you can do with what. It will be your frst nature befor eyou know it.

matt plays for rush, was having a chat with him when i met him at toast the other week about producing and enquired to his fees. think it would be good to get into a studio with someone to see how things are done properly

Does it cost quite alot then ?

it's reasonably expensive but you're paying for someone elses skill and knowledge and if you come away with something you're happy with then it's worth it. if you get to learn things while you're at it then it's even better.

 

may look into some music courses as well but i imagine that they will be very expensive

Ah I see - my delay in thinking is always miles behind I'm sure you would deffo benefit something anyways ! So would be worth it.

 

Music courses are pretty high in price - A guy I used to work with, who is also into his music wanted to take up a Music Production Course, alas, apareantly, the cost was well into the hundreds

 

yep, i've just had a look on a site and the courses i'd be interested are all over £1000

Surely some would do that pay a bit each month kind of thing ?

they offered different methods of paying but was still expesive or the payments went on longer than the course. don't think i can get a course that would fit in with my shifts too. for the cost of one of the courses i could probably have four visits to a studio instead.

Tony was telling me that Matt is moving down to |Wales & is gonna do weekend sessions in the studio @ £250 & that poss you & tony could go together & go halves & produce a corker of at une, that would be good
