at the end of the day, your domain name is something you will be telling people by word of mouth, or they see it on flyers, or they get to your site via search engine. anyone searching for "great nights out in peterborough" would find the site if you have those kinda words in yer text.

 

have a think about who you will be giving the address out to and how they will remember it. www.messedup.com or something might sound cool, but will easily be forgotten.

 

p'haps some kind of local clubbnig expression would be best...

Actually, .co.uk / .com / .org / .net / .tv / etc / etc is the TLD (top level domain).

 

You want the domain name.

 

A sub domain is something like www. / mail. / whatever. before the name and TLD.
