first timer, never touch a deck ever but read up on them and i'm after the best, i know the 1210's are industry standard but i hear the Stanton STR8-150 will become the standard and is alot better 1210's!

If you intend on taking DJing seriously (getting gigs in clubs etc) I would say go for technics.

Yes they are industry standard, and I reckon it will stay that way for a while yet. Like microsoft being the standard in offices and schools etc.

 

Can you see yourself using all the extra features that the stantons have?? Personally I wouldnt. As you get better, get yourself a CD deck and some effects (much better)

 

Ive used the stantons, but for me its the solidness, user friendly technics all the way.
