My DVD player's great. Can multi-region it. Can play CDs full of MP3s, supports CD-Rs and CD-RWs, can view CDs full of JPEGs and Kodak PhotoCDs....

 

However, it puts about a half second pause inbetween every track. Now, if I was listening to cheesey pap, this wouldn't be a problem. But listening to mixes is [censored] annoying.

 

Add to that I'm getting really paranoid that Lisa Lashes has broken into my house and is playing a set. It really does sound like she's fooking up everytime it moves onto the next track.

Well why dont you just play music CD's in a normal CD player then and just use the DVD player for playing DVD's?

I've got a nice 28" widescreen TV, SKY and a semi-decent DVD player. I don't need a hi-fi that I haven't got the room for. I want to be able to play my CDs through my DVD and TV. Makes sense?

buy a £20 portable cd player. plug the ac adaptor in, and put the headphone socket into a line in.

are you sure it's not a software issue? what player are you using? does it happen with another media player app?

It's a DVD player, as opposed to a DVD-ROM... (Eg DVD player like a video recorder).

 

It's either by design, or it's a [censored]-up by whoever wrote the firmware though.

MusicMatch JukeBox does that, but I love it for everything else, is why I keep it

perhaps you can upgrade the firmware - i have a crappy $80 DVD player and it allows me to do that. check the manufacturer's site - worth a try...
