I think I first started thinking about sex when I was about 10.

 

Paula...as Jon said, its perfectly natural for a 12 year old to start having these thoughts coz this is the time when their hormones start developing and they take more pride in their appearance to try and impress girls. This is also the time when boys start resenting their parents but its important for you to be alot more understanding and patient with them.

 

Dont worry about it...but most important of all, let them know you are there to talk them through things that they think they know but are still unsure of.

 

I've got a 9 year old son who has been taken away from me by his mother and I just wish that I could be there for him when he goes through those difficult stages of his life.

must be different for girls, i didnt start thinking bout it till i was bout 15-16, but didnt do owt till i was nearly 18, but loads of my male friends had lost there virginity by the age of 14-15, which i think is wrong because i dont think your mature enough at that age.
