Does anyone own a Sony MZ-R501 Discman?

I've lost the manual on my discman and am meant to be recording my new c.d today, but i can't find the option that alters the sound recording level and takes the recording restricter off, as the sound compresses otherwise and theres dips in the volume.

Any ideas?
