I'm doing a community placement at the moment which means i'm out & about in my uniform.

 

Do you find that people especially old people who you've never met before feel the need to talk to you? People keep saying "morning dear" "lovely weather isn't" or smiling at me. And of course i'm polite to them, but it gets a bit annoying smiling at complete strangers in the street.

To be honest, I don't cos in my area, everyone is really rude, so I only get that occaisonally!!

l am enjoying actually, the pace is alot slower than in the hospital, its been nice for a change.

 

And yes lots of lovely leg ulcers, my technique for doing dressings is excellent now. laugh.gif

After that time you are an expert in leg ulcers and compression bandaging!
