basically a VSTi (i think thats hte name for it?) that can generate just about any percursive sound i could wish for.

 

free would be great but i'm not as worried about paying (a reasonable amount) for something like this

 

failing that - a percussion sample cd would be good

dont think theres such a thing tbh.... get a sample cd

LinPlug's Albino is excellent for perucssion, and so is is the Junglist VST.

 

They're both pretty nifty for bass as well.

Native instruments Battery is a good high quality drum plug in/sampler. But these days I mainly use the drums sounds from my Korg Triton and sequence them in Logic.

Laurence.. try the ueberschall techno sample cd.. that's got loads of decent samples in.
