i got my glasses today, iv got one eye stronger than the other, so everything is lop-sided, gonna take a bit of getting used to.........feels a lot better though, not had eye strain yet today!

from a uni m8 of mine....

 

if u've got a dominant eye (loads of ppl have) ur dominant eye does all thw work and ur weaker eye gets weaker, so if u have it corrected w/glasses ur weaker eye suddenly has to start working.

 

which is good, really

just feels wierd......didnt realise how bad my sight was till i got these.........

my friend had that and she had to wear a patch over her eye

guess i should have mentioned i was talking about years and years ago, when i was in high school

thats when NHS specs had the thick black fames and milk bottle bottom lenses........nice, i used to have some when i was about 5

i've never had a pair of NHS specs, i got my first pair when i was nearly 18 and i payed for them myself cos i was working

they are soooo expensive, im glad i didnt have to pay for these, there is some good points about being a single parent i spose

 

........not many though

tell me about it, i must have paid at least £145 for my glasses, and as for being a single parent, the perks are unbelieveable, no man to tell u what to do and how to bring the kids up
