never used vestax so cant comment on which is better....

 

BUT, I have NEVER had any problems with my 1210s....and as the saying goes, "if it aint broke...."

personally i prefer a gerbil in a running wheel to turn the deck and a sowing needle with a plastic cup to hear the music, i'm fuckin banging on those. you should hear the qualitity. granted a little tinnie but you look the bollox!!

 

only prob is when the gerbil gets tired, and when i want to speed things up. the solution is to feed him stimulants. works a treat!!

i prefered my vestax once you had played on them then technics seemed to be sloppy but thats my opinion!!!!

um...i personally prefer technics, but my brother prefers vestax, i have an old pair of mark2 technic 1210s and they have fallen down stairs been pushed over at countless parties and are still [censored] amazing, they are well worn in and they are like tanks, i cant imagine doing that wit vestax they look like they are decks for your bedroom that u can put in a toy box, lol. technics are the tanks and vestax are the toy soliders!

Mk5s have the same motor as mk2's do they not?

the most powerful deck torque wise is the new Stanton and they're beastly!

I have technics but think they might convert me!

if u've never used vestax how can u form an opinion like that? just cuz it looks retro it doesnt meen its ne less durable
