It doesn't crash, it just comes up with some message about performing an illegal operation but I haven't done anything illegal for weeks. Does anyone know wats wrong and is it fatal?

Try clearing out the cache...

 

Go to

Tools/Internet Options

General/Temporary Internet Files/Delete Files.

 

Not sure if that will clear the problem, but worth a try.
