there hardly likely to show it live if there was the slightest chance that he could blow his brains out live on TV!

i disagree. theres a buffer time on live TV and radio bardcasting so they can blank out and edit bits on the fly. i think its sumthin silly like a metter of seconds on the radio, but its about 15mins on live TV (i think)

i personally have nowt against the guy, doens meen i like the chap mind, but if he want to make money by fooling people into thinking his god then he can do so.

He is using his genuine talents to make brilliant television. I don't know of anyone who thinks that he is God, indeed he has never advanced such a ridiculous premise. I read an article where he explained that his mind control technique is something that is within most of us and he has merely honed these innate skills.

There is an obvious parallel with David Blaine insofar as he attracts a number of "baiters" who just don't want to like him.

there must have been some trickery, wether it being timing on the TV company or the showman.

I believe that there was a chance of him cocking up (though not necessarily a big chance).

Luu Luu, as Mr Happy hinted, the TV station were (supposedly!) going to cut to a blank screen if Brown really shot himself, so they'd only need to be broadcasting the show a few seconds behind real-time.

that was actually what i meant about the few second time delay, i just didnt make myself clear enough. rolleyes.gif

Saw it. Don't want to see it again. Quite disappointed he didn't do it, so we will be subjected to more 'mind control' programs.

Not luck, or magic. Science and maths - that is all it was.

Good luck to him now though - how do you go from here?

*See's mental image of Goldfinger "do you expect me to talk?". "No Mr Brown - I expect you to die!"

I think it would have made the whole thing a bit more amusing if in the top left hand corner for the program it had said 'AS LIVE' rather than 'LIVE'

thought it was alright-ish entertainment... but have to agree with Luu Luu... personally think he had no more chance of getting hurt than a woman actually getting sawn in half by a Paul Daniels wannabe in Butlins (if they are still doing that sort of thing?)... just the illusion was fresher, newer, more interesting

PS - I wonder what would have happened to the volunteer/ TV channel/ production company if it had all gone horribly wrong though?

I agree. I quite like Brown (from what little I've heard/read about him) because he doesn't try to bullshit us that he's a psychic (unlike Uri Bloody Geller et al). Brown is just a good psychologist.

  • CTW Members

Wouldn't a good psychologist spend their time using their psychology for better reasons that making a mint by taking pot luck on their life on live television?

apparently it was a fake gun and fake bullets and wasnt outside UK

discus.
