i decided to take my younger brother who is 11, out for dinner on Saturday as a treat. when we arrived at the buffet restaurant, i was told the price of his meal would be the same as an adult's because children are under eight years old.

 

this got me thinking; at what age does a child become an adult? well, at the cinema it's 15. however, the law states you are responsible enough to have a sexual relationship at 16, drive a car at 17 and drink alcohol at 18.. the most celebrated of birthdays are 18 and 21 for the change to adulthood but surely you cannot become an adult if you already are one?

16 I think should be the age of becoming an adult.

they obviously call you a adult at 8 or whatever because there cheap.

You should have had it out with them tho, and made them aware of what cheap scates they were. Then proceded to rinse off alot of food.

Surely anyone under the age of 13 is classed as a kid?

 

So effectively, what they're saying is anyone between 8 and 13 is in no mans land. They are neither a kid, teenager or an adult?

It is getting abit silly now.

They really should just start saying young adult, because effectivly by calling a 8 year old adult, they are saying they are responsable enough to look after themself.
