you could get a 2nd simcard. I think orange give you 300 texts a month if you buy £10 of top up each month.

i got my o2 sim off o2 site (300 free txts a month)

 

they had a offer got them for 99p each think they have gone bk to £9.99 or summit now

My contract is T-Mobile, n its 150cross network minutes each month for £21, then i have £6 add on for 100 texts. (yea i go well over this) I have to redo my contract soon tho, n there doesen't seem to be as good contracts out at the moment, which are just for 12months.

Im tempted by 3G but they have shite reception.

reception ain't that bad. and if there isn't any 3G reception then it just switches over to the 2G network and uses BT signal instead. It even worked fine at glastonbury the whole time.

 

Lots of good deals in the paper, overall mine is about twenty or so pounds a month over the 12 month contract with basically unlimited texts and 750 cross network minutes a month.
