Right, i dont know what this is, but its the second time its happened since i had my new computer, i dont do anything out of the ordinary but, a file apears on my dektop that is not recognised, and it is titled with this character: ~

 

Can anyone help me?

 

Is it hurting my poor lickle pooter, or is it nothing to worry about?

    it's a "temporary file". something on your computer is making a file it needs at the time. should go away eventually.

    it shouldnt be on his desktop if its a temporary file

     

    it does sound a little dodge to me. deffo run a full virus scan to be safe. might be harmless, but best be safe than sure

    Theres nothing wrong with XP. I've been using it for over a year and not had a single problem with it. Wouldnt use anything else.
