You see, if you actually were into house music, then you wouldnt be using the "fucnky" prefix because you would be aware that the so designated "funky" style is in fact pop music, and not serious dance music at all.

Er, what ?

Have you tried telling that to the hundreds of people at Serious every month ? Or Garlands for that matter. scratchchin.gif

no, unfortunately we dont live in a perfect world.

we're after people who are going to be open and honest about what they want/dont want from the site - the bickering is going to go on and on until we sort this all out once and for all and get back to ONE friendly community - not lots of splinter communities all slagging each other up ? Impossible I know ..

What utter bollox, thats just typical of the attitude. At the end of the day we WANT to be a site that caters for ALL music genres NOT Hard House. We are not solely HH and never will be. It will change but as James says it will take time.

and if you ask the majority of the djs at these events whether they play "funky" house, they will crack you one for being cheeky.

These people play proper house music, not the "funky" bullshit that has been dogging the house scene for the last few years

Bottom line is: big name djs/promoters should not be allowed to post 'thankyou's' and 'please come and support'.

CTW should be spam/wanky-wannabe dj free.

(BTW: house music rules over funky house any day) smile.gif

Well I know what you are saying Tommy but then if that the case the site should not really be known as club the world, as it instantly shouts out it's a site about clubbing, does it not??????????

why not- seing as clubbing is based around lsitening to djs and the nights they play at?

Keeping these things to a specific forum (as ctw does) is the way to it imo, but promoters/djs have every right to use the internet as an advertising medium, as just about every company/business does in the world today.
