See any of the above 4 good scare factor.

Avoid new horror films as they're normally a bit shite!!!

But The Ring is worth a watch if you're renting something!!!

The Ring i found disappointing as well it didn't scare me one bit. i think death scenes that are funny make a horror film for me now. but stuff like Halloween are just the muts nuts. you can't beat a cold blooded serial killer.

Cold hearted Serial killers are the best, why have a complex story line when you can just have a psycho in a mask killing people in a number of interesting ways!!!

Storylines take the fear out of Horror!!!

And so do new films that have to have a comedy scene between every scary scene!! Boooo!

there's nothing like a cold blooded serial killer trying to slice and dice everything that comes in their way.

the horror factor i guess is because the cold blooded thing is be done to death, excuse the pun. but i know what you mean. i like scream more for the fact it took the way horror films were done and took the piss. which in it's self was more clever, but sadly not many people picked up on it.

I enjoyed Scream for said novelty value, but as a Horror film it lacked the fear , or "Fook ME!!!" value if u wish, which I personally crave.

Correct, it's essentially the most primal human emotion, which why we enjoy it.
