13 ghosts is a little hokey but the fx are excellent and the production design is also great.

 

session 9 is, without a doubt, one of the most unsettling films i've ever seen. it's a little obscure but it's well worth tracking down.

i think that's partly right. i think the reason we 'enjoy' horror movies is that they give us the opportunity to experience fear but with none of the risks normally associated with fear.

Most horrors with CLOWNS in (It, Killer Clowns from outer space, Out of the Dark, etc, etc)

 

All the horrors made these days are just total and utter cod shite, they focus too much on special effects and not enough on scare factors and gore.
