Lesson to be learnt ... Don't trust people off the internet

well i got say thankyou to Campalena's brother who is a compter whizz, he has been chatting to the hostsever of the site, and they are telling him to remove if, if not his website will be shut down, and they suggest to sue him or go to the police but he has given flase details for the site

could you imagine if everytime someone off ctw went to the police due to internet abuse

 

i personally think your wasting your time with going to the police \ sueing - they havw far greater issues to deal with than text abuse to any one person

he has 5 websit'e and has placed the same thing on them all, and also given false details into the website's so they are stopping them over that

 

But the girl he has done it about was already upset, and it's even upset her more to turn up on my doorstep crying

You CANT close a website down for an out of touch comment, no way. If thats the case I could get CTW shut down. You cannot control what people say as I've learnt on here, yes it can be moderated if you warned someone but you cant just close site down for a lame reason such as that.

im not posting the link, becuase he is boasting how many hit's he get's on the website

 

but if you get what i mean

he did an article basically insulting becuase she said she would not do do an interview for her website, he used her picutr'e without permission and put her email adress on without permission

and the webhost are annoyed they have done this

 

I think people who do this are sad and pathetic, you can say what u want but when it happesn to a close freind of mine by a total stranger i feel it is wrong and something should be done.

 

 

look at sites such as mingers.com and rotten.com

 

but very insulting - graphic - yet there is nothing to stop them.

 

as for posting faule info on the net - be very hard to stop that - look at sites such as faceparty.com and bigwildworld.com - you could take a picture of anyone and make a faulse profile.

 

Personally i think you'd be wasting you time - i can understand that your friend is really upset over it - but there is very little she can do other than get over it

very true, and by letting people know your email/MSN addy and putting your pic on ANY website, you are giving up your privacy rights and anyone can use it.

 

how many warnings on the net do people need about privacy?

 

all it takes is common sense, if you dont want people to see you/contact you then you dont give private infomation out.
