Just watched it a few days ago and thought it was rubbish.

 

Whats everyone elses opinion of this apparent British classic?

Never seen it, but most people who say it's a classic, play all the drinking games in the film.

Well it says on the cover something like...

 

"1969, the end of the greatest decade in history, one long sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll party - but...

 

WITHNAIL & I

 

...did not get an invitation"

 

Theres NO parties, sex or rock 'n' roll in it. Thers a few mild drug references but thats about it.

 

pretty dissapointing really.

it's my #2 favourite movie of all time

...because that decade is ending/has ended and withnail and i (and the rest of the uk) are coming to terms with what that means.

 

"London is a city coming down from its trip and there's going to be a lot of refugees."
