I am quite new to ctw, was reading your post from a few months ago about collapsing in the supermarket. just wondered if you suceeded in giving up the stimulants and if you do manage to still go out and be staright when your mates are fcuked?!!!

i have reached the stage where i do wanna stop, but it's so hard unless you avoid that kind of environment completely, which would make me miserable! if you did, got any pointers?

I'm in a similar position Nic. I'd definately like to calm it but that first step is hard. Especially, like you said if you're still involved with the scene.

Well I went to the docs and found out that there was actually nothing wrong with me physically, just psychologically! Luckily my heart was fine and all I'd been experiencing was severe panic attacks. The doctor has taught me how to control them better and I am going for counselling regularly.

As for stimulants....well I still do them occassionally, but not every week like I used to! I did HHA totally straight and it didn't bother me a bit. I miss the buzz from them etc, but even if I take them these days the buzz isn't as good as it used to be.

Tip: Move on to depressants!

I'm kinda in same position i need to cut down as I've jsut got immune to a lot of stuff now - I've done pretty well when I've cut out stuff altogether and actually found I've had BETTER time lately than in the past when I've done stuff and not had to pay for it all week long! This has shown me that I can still go out clubbin as for me the choice was give up drugz or clubbin as if I didnt go clubbin I wouldnt do anything in the 1st place. Theres no way I could give up clubbin so the drugz had to go - I really surprised myself actually having a betta time and lot more energy when doing nites straight. If u dont enjoy the nites straight then maybe u should ask yourself if ur really enjoying the clubs/peeps ur out with - if the tunes/clubs r any good then u should have a good time either way! Also if ur with a good set of mates help a lot - I dont care if i do a nite straight n all my mates r fooked I still have a laugh with 'em! If u dont enjoy doin clubs/goin out w/out anything then maybe u should ask yourself if u really enjoy where ur going and who ur with in the first place!
