A decent Music / Computer workstation from ? I need a desk that will hold a desktop rack for synths, 2 flatpanel monitors, a keyboard, computer underneath and monitor speakers. I know people make them but I can't find anywhere on the net that sells them ?!

I will have a look for you.. im sure iv seen somethin but im not too sure if it was online or in a catologue or somethin!! Alternatively, could you not build one or get someone to build you somethin to ur specifications?? I reckon itd work out cheaper and be exactly how you want/need it?!

Yeah I could get somebody to build one for me but where am I going to find a master carpenter who's into tunes

 

I've found one place that does them but the decent ones that look like they'll suit my needs are about £2k, I'm all for spending money without thought but £2k on a desk is a bit much.

BTW the carpenter doesnt have to be into tunes to build u a desk for making music u know.. just show/explain to him what you want/how you will use it.. ie the pic and show him ur equipment too (music equipment that is haha) Then he will design somethin based on that and show u what he has come up with, you will then make alterations to suit you and it will be made!!

There are loads of workstations on here under the furnature section, the only ones I like the look of are the really expensive ones, I need to be able to put 2 monitors and 2 monitor speakers on the upper shelf and the cheaper ones don't look big enough It's a pain in the arse not being able to see them infront of me to get an idea of the size, damn internet !

Ok, well iv had a look at them and will keep my eye out for more for you.. it might be worth lookin into gettin somethin built for you specially tho.. well it cant hurt can it?!

They do custom built desks, I've told them what I want and they're going to come back with a CAD drawing for me. I've got a feeling it could cost the same if not more but it's worth a look. I'm coming round to the idea that's it's going to cost at least a grand. Anything else I look at now will just look inferior so I know I'm going to end up buying a decent one !

Was gonna suggest he spoke to you about it to see if u knew anythin actually but then didnt wana offer u out without speakin to you first

i dunno exactly what ya after, but i got this from ikea for about £120 (the desk...lol)
