When I got back from my summer hols I stupidly left my passport in my jeans pocket and washed it. Do you think they will let me in??

i've been to dublin and i didn't need my passport. I remember cos everyone on the trip was trying to wind me up saying, "you have got your passport havnt u?" and i was panicking cos i didnt. But no, you dont need your passport to travel anywhere in the british isles. smile.gif

Domestic flights require photographic ID, whether that be a Passport or Driving Licence.
