I received an e-mail from Microsoft saying that i should run a patch that is attached to the mail called:

 

norton antivirus deleted1.txt

 

the mail says this:

 

Dear friend , use this Internet Explorer patch now!

There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!

More than 500.000 already infected!

 

 

Sounds a bit dodgy to me, anyone else had this?

    i have heard of viruses in text documents b4. Also it cant be a program in a txt document i think. Im not really a techy person so i may be wrong

     

    Dont open it just to be safe. Or scan it for viruses 1st

    Microsoft never send out files. This'll be a virus.

     

    If it was from Microsoft it'd tell u to download it from the official site.

    My teenage daughter has been kidnapped, and the people I work with may be involved in both.
