i'm going to do that now..but some films i prefer seeing at the cinema first, for the biig screen effect!

It's really really bad. Although slightly better than the second one.

i thought it was ok myself. think the second one was the best, but there's nothing wrong with this one.

 

action scenes weren't quite as 'clever' as the second. but it was all still very watchable and the plot more or less made sense

I'm with Phil on this one. It's better than 2, and does put everything together. from me...

I've not heard anyone say it's excellent yet.

 

Still gotta see it.

I liked Reloaded better. This one seemed to be all about closing things up as well as some rather over the top action sequences.

I think people should elaborate - i.e. not just say its "good" or "bad"

 

your "bad" may be my "good" - which is why I make my own mind up now - especially on films - and rarely take someone else's word for it

Nah, I'm starting up my own anti-anti-backlash wagon and saying it's mostly crap, with a few reasonable action bits in it, but still a needlessly-contrived travesty compared with the original flick. The script is embarrassing in places; the wotsit brothers [directors] really shouldn't try to do philosophy.

Okay Jim:

 

* dodgy script (philosophy for 6-year-olds, and in general lots of pointless pseudo-insightful comments said very sloooowwwlly and with an air of intrigue)

* badly edited (some of the scenes just drag)

* incoherent (the relationship between the fighting and the plot has become ever more contrived)

* contrived (pointlessly complicated, as opposed to cleverly interwoven)

* disappointing ending (come on, no-one can say it was good)

 

BTW I would level pretty much the same criticisms at the second film!

 

I was hoping that Reloaded would tie together loads of the ideas introduced in the second film, in some sort of clever way. But no.

 

Both sequels have a feel of being an utter hodge-podge of good & bad ideas which nobody filtered through and said "that's a good idea, keep that one ... that's a [censored] idea, scratch that..." Gatekeepers and keymasters anyone...?
