Not disagreeing with you Claire, but on this statement, it will not just be the drugs/alcohol IMO, it will also be the lack of sleep entailed which will also be a contributing factror to the paranoia!!... Lack of sleep/sleep deprivation alone will cause paranoia!!

1. If you cant think of any reason other than drugs that going out (at a weekend, obviously clubbing/socialising etc) would make you paranoid you're obviously not thinking hard enough because there are plenty of reasons, a few of which i have mentioned previously!!

I quite agree. But since the whole crux of this discussion is whether the expression "going out" was used as a euphemism for "drug-taking", I think you're clutching at straws with that argument!

all ill say at the mo on the drugs - paranoia thing is that ive never had paranoia after a big night and i dont do drugs. Whilst other contibuting factors may bring on the paranoia it all occurs because of the drugs. eg. sleep deprivation bringing on paranoia - well wots causing the sleep deprivation, the drugs.

well not if you've been lugging on a bong, do you get sleep deprivation!!! ... I have taken chemicals for a few years now & at the moment I do not suffer from paranoia, but that is not to say I will in the future, it is not only drugs that cause sleep deprivation either, alsorts of personal issues/problems may cause it, peeps on nightshifts etc etc!!

But in goin out that is why you have drugs/lack of sleep etc (im not saying that you have to go out to take drugs or have klack of sleep because i know you can stay in and still have the same) But what im saying is that the paranoia may not be down to drugs which most people jumped to the conclusion of.. you are just bein pedantic, reading between the lines and splitting hairs

I never said that, i was merely sayin that people shouldnt jump to conclusions that just because someone has had a weekend out and are feelin para after it that it is down to drug taking and that there are many other factors in going out that can cause paranoia!!
