not all remixes are [censored], sometimes it takes a remix to make a tune big, especially if the remix is by a big name producer. Gives the track more credibility if its from a first time producer.

errrm .... probably The Neptunes, Jazzy Jeff, and Larry Heard - all top notch producers - all individual in their style. Would make a simple little jazz tune with some nice lyrics, some smooth piano and some funky drumming, then let these guys loose on it to see what they all could do

Hiya hon long time no speak!1 I have to say im with you on the Nick Sentience remix of hostile, IMO its way better than the original, no-doubt i'll get stick now but its only MY opinion & also his remix of come 1

whilst i wont disagree with u here, i do feel that the james lawson remix stuck too much to the original and just added an extra riff. I feel that it just modernises the track rather than do nething radical to it.

well is that not like most remixes tho ben, they are just slightly different rifts added taken out, anymore & it'll be a differnet tune hence the title remix not remake!!!

it keeps the original tune, keeps many elements (background noises) of the original and adds a riff b4 and after main tune. it doesnt remove the tune at all just adds another. I think that the main tune has a lot more potential and cud have been built on more by james lawson rather than keeping it identical.

I dont think it was kept original as such, Its only my opinion as I say, I do prefer James Lawson's mix, I think it sounds better!!
