Fair enough.....my point was that they were all knobs! I was at GK at the ice rink, interesting night. Strangely enough that night I bumped into a guy who works in the lab next to me here in Swansea that I didn't even know at the time but he recognised me, it was quite surreal.

which rm were u in most of the nite.

 

My m8s i was with dont really like hard so we only had a walk round in there. Geez it was hot in there. Loved the trance rm tho. Absolutely awesome.

Main room, was a bit too hot upstairs and not to my mates liking.

Cardiff uni has a hard dance society??? now thats what we're missing in manchester. Wouldve been so much easier to find clubbing mates, but then i woudl never have joined CTW (good or bad thing, depending on your opinion of me!)

how come? (i'm not debating it, i'm just wondering what makes it so good?)

It's actually been voted that, come top in polls etc... not sure of the ins and outs. In the union building they have a bar (the tafarn) which used to be an ye olde style pub but they've now changed it so it looks more twendy, and large 'nightclub'(solus) and a smaller more intimate room (seren las) they put nights on in. They also have the great hall where a lot of gigs are put on and maybe some of the bigegr nights. Four venues in one union that are really quite quality by student union standards. They once won an award (a while ago) for architechture as it was built over a railway line, quite unusual apparently!

its also the largest students union in the UK (i got told when being shown round)

 

its also one of the few places where tickets for Saturday night in a cheesy club can sell out in a number of hours (1900 capacity sold out by 1pm monday). Notably apparently touts were buying 200 tickets at a time etc. New rules have been introduced concerning tickets now as it was getting ridiculous. 400 kept back til the nite now etc.
