I've been ill... Nan's been in hospital... The shenanigans of the other night with Police that were just out to cause trouble... I stayed in last night on a Friday night... This morning I get a letter summoning me for Jury Service.

[censored].

Thing is, I really have personal moral issues with myself doing Jury Service.

Unless something is absolutely clean cut, my conscience wouldn't allow me to give a verdict of guilty.

I will also not be swearing any oaths on the Bible... Whilst I may or may not have Christian religous beliefs (it doesn't matter), I do not view the Bible in the same was as the Crown, as the country or as the Church. I *will* not swear any oaths on it, because that is against my own moral beliefs. But nowhere on the form does it allow me to express this. I know that they can provide me with alternative wordings whereby I don't have to use a Bible. But surely this should be made clear?
