I played rugby over the weekend, and hit one bloke so hard (legally), that I dislocated his shoulder and probably cracked his collar bone.

 

My question is this: Should I tell my fiancees father that I am buying a new car when he's paying for half of the wedding?

 

PS Sod the bloke - he shouldn't have got in my way. I just wanted to gloat!

I know - it's just he might want the order cancelled before we get it! We are in a old banger anyway - sold the sports car

I say make him pay for the whole wedding, it's his daughter after all

Back to the question, depends if you think by telling him itll make him not pay for half of the wedding?!

Your soon to be Dad in law shouldn't mind about you buying a new car, surely he'd appreciate the thought of his Daughter being driven around in a comfortable new car.

Don: before you get married, rent a car of the exact same type you're going to buy with the wedding money. Then he will think you already had the car before the wedding!
