how much would it cost for about 450 decent, blank 80min cds??

 

aiming for next demo mix to be a 3cd, 4hour long set going thru all the main styles that I play - sick of not being able to progress enough in 80mins so gonna stretch it out a bit if I can.... just need to find time to do the bloody thing

Why not burn it as an mp3, i 'think' most good cd players will play mp3's

most audio progs wont let you record for more than 2gig bout 2 1/2hrs, if i remember right, in one stint.. it gets complex...lol

the likes of soundforge will allow X amount of recording time depending on your harddisk space

i think he's meaning a 240 minute set all in one go, like my 'infinity' thing. i had to record it with wavelab set up to split the file into 1 hour chunks as i was recording it.. then paste them together afterwards.. once its all one big file, wavelab wont even open it!!!!

I use GoldWave , it copes nicely with 2+ hour files. Plus it's dead easy to mark the track divisions afterwards then "split" the mix into separate tracks.

will be using soundforge which shouldnt have a prob (got about 15gb free space as well).....
